Prescription Drug Abuse Treatment
You Didn’t Mean for It to Get This Far. We’re Here to Help You Take Back Control.
For many people, prescription drug use didn’t start as addiction. Maybe it was a pain prescription after surgery. Anxiety meds for a stressful season. ADHD medication to stay focused at work or school.
But over time, the pills that were supposed to help started to hurt — and stopping feels harder than you ever imagined.
At Freedom Healthcare Services, we understand that prescription drug abuse doesn’t always look the way people expect — and that doesn’t make it any less real. If you feel stuck, ashamed, or afraid to ask for help, we’re here to offer a path forward that’s private, compassionate, and effective.

What Is Prescription Drug Abuse?
Prescription drug abuse is the misuse of medications outside of how they were prescribed — either taking more than directed, using someone else’s prescription, or continuing use long after it’s medically necessary.
The most commonly abused prescription drugs we treat include:
Opioid painkillers – Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Morphine, etc.
Benzodiazepines – Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium
Stimulants – Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta
Sleep aids or sedatives – Ambien, Lunesta
How We Treat Prescription Drug Addiction
Your care plan may include:
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) – Suboxone, Methadone, or Vivitrol for opioid-based prescriptions
- Individual therapy to explore underlying anxiety, trauma, or stress
- Group support to connect with others facing similar struggles
- Dual diagnosis care for mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, or PTSD
- Aftercare planning to build relapse-resistant recovery habits
- Telehealth services for privacy and flexibility
